| 1993: | Cúm an Iolair was formed and held its first meeting on August 6. |
| 1994: | Cúm an Iolair was granted full status on August 6 as a Canton of the Barony of Forgotten Sea. |
| 1995: | Cúm an Iolair, as a group, was granted the Baronial Colors by the Barony of Forgotten Sea for service to the Barony. |
| 1996: | Cúm an Iolair, as a group, was granted the Mark of Merit by the Barony of Forgotten Sea for service to the Barony. |
| 1997: | Cúm an Iolair, as a group, was granted the Order of the Escallop by the Barony of Forgotten Sea for service to the Barony.
May of A.S. XXXII; Cúm an Iolair played host to the visiting Laurel Queen-of-Arms, Mistress Jaelle of Armida. October of A.S. XXXII; at the Calontir Kingdom A&S Championship, Cúm an Iolair won the title of Kingdom Proponent of the Arts & Sciences. |
| 1998: | October of A.S. XXXIII; at the Calontir Kingdom A&S Championship, Cúm an Iolair again won the title of Kingdom Proponent of the Arts & Sciences. |
| 1999: | March of A.S. XXXIII; two members of Cúm an Iolair (Modar Neznanich & Briana Etain MacKorkhill) were invested as the 8th Baronage for the Barony of Forgotten Sea and its Cantons of Cúm an Iolair & Aston Tor. |
| 2001: | Cúm an Iolair archers helped create and form the BFS Archer Guard. |
| 2002: | Cúm an Iolair, as a group, was granted the Order of the Trident Tree by the Barony of Forgotten Sea for service to the Barony. This is the Barony’s highest award of recognition. |
| 2003: | The membership of the Canton of Cúm an Iolair was approached about interest in becoming an independent Shire. The membership votes to pursue the path to Shiredom. |
| 2004: | February of A.S. XXXVIII; Cúm an Iolair and the Barony of Forgotten Sea realign their zip codes in preparation for our Canton to become a Shire.
April of A.S. XXXVIII; The vote begins to poll the populace of the Barony of Forgotten Sea on the subject of our Canton becoming a Shire. August 7th, A.S. XXXIX: The Canton of Cúm an Iolair is elevated to the status of Shire by TRM Siridean & Sile at our Feast of Eagles event. |
| 2006: | The Society College of Arms registers the group designator change from “Canton” to “Shire”.
The Society College of Arms registers the heraldic title “Talon Herald” for our Shire’s herald. Our Shire is the first group below a Barony to register a title for a herald within the Kingdom of Calontir. |
